A government teacher was shot dead by criminals in Sheikhpura. The incident took place near Basant village of Chevada police station area. The deceased teacher was Pintu Rajak, a resident of Hussainabad village of Ariyari block under Shekhpura district. He was posted as a teacher in the school of Gagri village under Sirari police station area. Regarding the incident, local people said that on Friday morning he was going to his school in Gagri village by bike via Chevada. Then 5-6 criminals first stopped the teacher and then surrounded him and fired three bullets in his chest. Pintu Rajak became a teacher in Shiksha Mitra in 2006, after which he became a employed teacher.

Villagers say that a video of Pintu Rajak had gone viral, in which he was seen in an objectionable relationship with a teacher. The reason for the murder is also being linked to this case. In the year 2022, an objectionable video of deceased teacher Pintu Rajak with a teacher from his own school went viral. A Panchayat was also held in the village regarding this and a demand was made to the DM to remove both the teachers. After this, taking action, the District Education Officer transferred both the teachers to different Panchayats, but after a few months both the teachers came back to the same school. The villagers had created a lot of uproar regarding this, but since no action was taken, the villagers also forgot the matter.

Pramila Devi, wife of the deceased teacher, says that she had received a call on her husband’s mobile phone threatening to kill him at night, after which criminals murdered him on Friday morning. Teacher Pintu Rajak has two sons, Uttam and Uday, who live and study in Patna.
