The heat has started scorching in many districts including Patna. The temperature has increased considerably due to the hot westerly wind coming from Rajasthan. Today, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature in many areas may go up to 44 degrees. The weather department has issued an orange alert for heat wave in one or two places of Banka, Bhagalpur, Jamui, East Champaran and southern parts of Bihar. Along with this, the maximum temperature in the north-west, north-central and south-east is likely to remain between 40 to 42 degrees, while the temperature of the north-eastern part is expected to remain between 36 to 38 degrees. During the 24 hours, the weather of the state remained dry. The maximum temperature of many places in the state, especially the south-west and south-central parts, was more than 40 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of the north-eastern part of the state ranged from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity in the north-eastern part was 70 to 80 percent. Due to which the weather of this area remained humid. The wind direction at the surface is south-easterly and north-easterly. But above the surface the wind direction is north-westerly and the wind speed is 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.

Temperature may rise by 2 to 4 degree Celsius in 72 hours

According to the Meteorological Center, the maximum temperature of many places in the state may increase by two to four degrees Celsius in 72 hours. After that the temperature will remain the same. During the next 24 hours, moderate light rain may occur in the north-eastern part of the state and the chances of rain in the remaining parts are slightly less. During the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour along with heat wave at one or two places in East Champaran and southern parts of the state. A cyclonic complex is formed at 0.9 kilometers above sea level in Bihar. There is still a slight pause in the arrival of southwest monsoon in Bihar.
