In a massive head-on collision between a Scorpio and an e-rickshaw in Bettiah, two people died on the spot, while four people were seriously injured. The incident took place near Singachhapar Chowk on Bettiah Majholia main road. The deceased have been identified as Sanjay Kumar (23), son of Pancha Shah, and Raju Paswan (40), son of Nirgun Paswan.

Vinay Kumar, the family member of the deceased, told that my brother was going from Sirisia to Lalgarh in an e-rickshaw. Then a Scorpio coming from the opposite direction went out of control and hit the e-rickshaw hard. In this incident, one person died on the spot, while five other people were seriously injured. Sanjay Kumar (23), son of e-rickshaw driver Pancha Shah, died during treatment. Four people were seriously injured in this incident, out of which two are undergoing treatment at GMCH Bettiah. The condition of two of those injured was very critical, considering which the doctors have referred them to PMCH Patna for better treatment. Local people say that there were 6 people traveling on the e-rickshaw. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police of Mufassil police station reached the spot and immediately took all the injured to the hospital for treatment. Family members say that a poster of Gauri Shankar Mission School was pasted on that Scorpio.
Police engaged in investigation
Mofussil police station chief Rakesh Kumar Bhaskar said that two people were reported dead in a road accident. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and all the injured were taken to the hospital. The families of the deceased were informed. At present, the process of conducting post-mortem of both the deceased is being done. The police station incharge said that the Scorpio driver fled from the spot. However, the police have seized the Scorpio from the spot.
