On Sunday late night, a truck crushed a husband and wife riding a motorcycle on Patna bypass, in which both husband and wife died on the spot. After the incident, the driver fled from there leaving the truck. Both husband and wife remained stuck inside the truck for a long time. Later, the local people informed the Ramakrishna Nagar police station about this. After getting the information, the police reached the spot, took out the bodies of both husband and wife and sent them to Nalanda Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Both husband and wife have been identified as Dilip Kumar and Sanju Singh, residents of Krishna Niketan.

Regarding the incident, the SHO said that Dilip Kumar worked as a transporter. His wife Sanju Singh worked in a private job. Late on Sunday evening, both were returning on the same bike. In the meantime, near the NRL petrol pump in Ramakrishna Nagar police station area, a truck coming from behind at a high speed crushed both the husband and wife. After the incident, the driver of the truck fled leaving the truck on the spot. As soon as the incident happened, people from the vicinity gathered there. Seeing the incident, people from the vicinity became furious. Local people completely blocked the Patna bypass road. Later, the police pacified the matter by convincing the local people.

After getting the news of the incident, angry people started protesting by blocking Patna bypass. As soon as the information was received, police from Ram Krishna Nagar police station, Bypass police station, Jakkanpur police station reached the spot and pacified the people by convincing them. Meanwhile, the police took the bodies of both the husband and wife in their custody and sent them to NMCH, Patna for postmortem.
