In Patna, a husband strangled his wife to death. The incident took place in Hulasi Tola village of Maner police station area. After the incident, the husband fled from the spot leaving the dead body of his wife in the house. Local villagers informed this to Maner police station. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into their custody. After the incident, the police has started investigating the case through the FSL team at the spot. The deceased wife has been identified as Somaniya Devi. After the news of the incident, there was a mournful silence among the woman’s family members. The police have started investigating the case by sending the body of the deceased woman for post-mortem.
Husband used to beat me often
The woman’s family members told that her husband used to fight and beat her regularly. The family members allege that the woman’s husband was trying to dispose of her dead body. Meanwhile, he got information about the incident. As soon as people reached the spot after receiving the information, all the in-laws left the house and ran away.
Police are waiting for the post mortem report
Maner police station incharge Pradeep Kumar said that the police received information that a woman had died under suspicious circumstances in Hulasi Tola village. After this, when the police team reached the spot, they saw that the dead body of the woman was lying and there was no one at home. Along with other people from the in-laws’ house, the accused husband is also absconding. However, prima facie a case of murder of the woman by strangulation is coming to light. When asked the reason for the incident, he said that the matter is being investigated. Till now no application has been received from the family members of the deceased woman. The police will take action after receiving the application and receiving the post-mortem report.
