The mother of the deceased, Sikkim Devi, said that Chandni has accused her husband and in-laws of poisoning her. She said that her son-in-law called her and told her about a fight between the two. After this, her health deteriorated and she was admitted to the hospital, where she died. When she reached her daughter’s in-laws’ house, the body was being burned by her in-laws, including her husband.

The deceased’s mother Sikkil Devi, a resident of Bara village in Singhia police station area of ​​Samastipur district, said that her elder daughter Madhu had died. After this, her son-in-law married her second daughter Chandni. She alleged that there was a dispute between the husband and wife over some issue. She was called over the phone regarding this. A panchayat was going on regarding the matter. When she reached there, her son-in-law drove her away from there. She alleged that when she returned home, her son-in-law forcibly made her daughter drink poison.

When his condition deteriorated, he was taken to a private hospital in Katasa for treatment, where he died. After this, his son-in-law was burning the body. On receiving information, the police recovered the body from the burning pyre. He told that an application has been given in Tilkeshwar police station regarding the matter. In this regard, Tilkeshwarsthan SHO Ramshankar Prasad said that on receiving information, the police extinguished the burning pyre and seized the body and it has been sent to DMCH for postmortem. An FIR is being registered on the application of the deceased’s mother.
