An innocent child died due to drowning in a water-filled pond in Nalanda, Bihar on Saturday. This incident took place in Beldari Bigha village of Hilsa police station area. The deceased was identified as Vishnu Kumar, one and a half year old son of Shyam Prasad, resident of Maqsoodpur village of Asthawan police station area. Vishnu was currently living with his mother in Nanihal Beldari Bigha village.

Regarding the incident, the family of the deceased child told that Vishnu was playing near the house. While playing, his foot slipped and he fell into a water-filled puddle, due to which he died due to drowning. When the family members did not notice Vishnu, a search was conducted. Searched here and there for hours, when we went into the puddle and searched, Vishnu was taken out from under the green hyacinth.

Then he was quickly taken out of the water and admitted to Hilsa Sub-Divisional Hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. There was an uproar among the family members after the death was confirmed. Vishnu was the only lamp in the house. Vishnu’s mother is deaf and mute. At the same time, father’s mental condition is also not good. Vishnu’s mother was living in her maternal home with her only son.

Hilsa police station chief Abhijeet Kumar said that after getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot. From there the body was taken into custody and sent to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Further action will be taken upon receipt of the application.
