Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, after taking charge as the national president of his party Janata Dal United, has made major changes in the national executive formed by former president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh. He has made former Bihar state JDU president, Rajya Sabha MP and veteran party leader Vashishtha Narayan Singh the vice president of the party. Along with this, the status and position of former MP KC Tyagi has also been increased. Tyagi has been made political advisor and national chief spokesperson. There are a total of 22 names including Nitish in the new national executive of the party. Sanjay Jha, the only minister from Bihar government, has been given a place in the National Executive.
Along with Minister Sanjay Jha, he has the responsibility of National General Secretary.
The person who was being rumored to be made the National President in place of former President Lalan Singh, has been given the responsibility of National General Secretary. Rajya Sabha MP Ramnath Thakur has been made the general secretary. Bihar government minister Sanjay Kumar Jha is also on the same post. Apart from these, the words of former MP Mangni Lal Mandal, former Union Minister Mohammad Ali Ashraf Fatmi, Legislative Councilor Afaq Ahmed Khan, former Bihar Government Minister Shri Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, former Minister Ramsevak Singh, former Rajya Sabha MP and former Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission Parveen , Legislative Councilor Kapil Harishchandra Patil, Raj Singh Mann and former MLA Sunil Kumar alias Engineer Sunil have also been made National General Secretaries.

In the new executive of the party, the responsibility of Treasurer has been given to Lok Sabha MP Dr. Alok Kumar Suman. Whereas Vidyasagar Nishad, Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, Anup Lal, Dayanand Rai, Sanjay Kumar and Mohd. Nisar was given the responsibility of secretary. Former MLA Rajeev Ranjan has been given the responsibility of spokesperson.
