It is not possible to talk about Sawan, the most favorite month of Devo Ke Dev Mahadev, and not talk about the famous Krishna Mata Bam. For the last 40 years, there is a unique devotee who has been offering water to Baba Baidyanath on foot. There is a competition from Sultanganj to Baba Dham to see Krishna Bam and take selfies with her. It is believed that Krishna Mata Bam, who has received the special blessings of Mahadev, has a very interesting story. This year she will perform the Jalabhishek of Mahadev for the 41st time. 72-year-old Krishna Mata Bam, a resident of Muzaffarpur, needs no introduction. She visits Baba Baidyanath and other Jyotirlingas every year. Krishna Mata Bam, who performed Jalabhishek on Baba Garibnath for the first time in the year 1976, went to the court of Baba Baidyanath in 1982. Since then, till 2022, she has been continuously going to Baba Baidyanath in Deoghar with Ganga water from Sultanganj as a postal bam. She has been performing Jalabhishek there. In the year 2023, she could not go due to a broken leg in an accident, but her faith in Shiva has made her stand up once again and she is going this time too. After Deoghar, she will go to Omkareshwar and then Mahakal temple and take blessings by performing Jalabhishek. Not only this, but every Monday she has been visiting different Dhams, especially Baba’s Jyotirling.

Darshan of different Jyotirlingas on the second, third and fourth Monday

72-year-old Krishna Mata Bam said that I do nothing, Mahadev makes everything happen. I do not have anything, whatever I have is all given by Mahadev. He gives and he takes. Krishna Bam, who has been going to Baba Baidyanath Dham continuously since 1982, starts her journey on the first Monday of the month of Sawan and worships different Jyotirlingas on the second, third and fourth Mondays of the month of Sawan. This year, after doing Jalabhishek of Baba Baidyanath, she will visit Omkareshwar in MP, take water from the Narmada river and worship Baba Mahakal and then continue the next leg. Bam Krishna says that one of the biggest and wonderful moments of life has been to visit Mount Kailash and Mansarovar. It is supernatural and it also has a special spiritual significance in Sanatan Dharma. Mahadev has discussed this in Shiv Puran. Whatever a devotee asks from Mahadev from the heart, he definitely fulfills his wish.

She has performed Jalabhishek by going to Pakistan, the government had given permission

In the year 2019, Krishna Mata Bam, after getting permission from the Government of India, has visited Katas Raj Temple Mahadev, located at a distance of 180 km from Lahore in Pakistan’s Punjab province. Not only this, during that time, the Government of Pakistan also gave her a special gift. Which is still very much treasured. Krishna Mata Bam said that during the Mahabharata period, after the answer given by Yudhishthira, she drank the water of the pond and attained salvation. Katas Ji Maharaj Temple and Pushkar Lake in Pushkar, Rajasthan have special significance all over the world. It is believed that two tears of Lord Shiva fell at these two places.

Krishna Mata Bam has not only visited Jyotirlinga but has also travelled from Gangotri to Rameswaram on foot and bicycle in a month. Krishna Mata Bam said- I got inspiration from my ancestors, I get strength from devotion

Krishna Mata Bam says that I got this inspiration from my ancestors. They were the ones who told me the importance of Shiva and devotion. The tradition which we are carrying forward even today. Despite every difficulty that my family faced, my sense of dedication and devotion towards Shiva gave me strength. This is the reason that even today at this age this strength comes automatically. Last year while going to Patna, I broke my leg due to which I could not go but this time I am fully prepared.
