The down FCI goods train had left from Muzaffarpur for Katihar carrying FCI grain in 58 bogies. Railway sources said that this train reached Bhagwanpur Desua station at 5.40 am. The bogie attached to the first engine has been cut and moved back. After which the team has started to bring the engine back on track.

Due to this accident, the boom of the railway kiosk has also been damaged. Due to which trains are being passed by closing and opening the gate manually. RPF has been deployed at the spot for security reasons. RPF Inspector VP Verma was engaged in this work along with his team.

Meanwhile, DRM Vinay Srivastava said that rail service has not been affected due to this accident. Railway personnel are engaged in rescue and relief work. An investigation has been ordered into the entire matter. After investigation, action will be taken against other guilty officers and personnel.
