A middle-aged man was murdered in Araria. This crime was committed by none other than his elder brother and nephews. The young man was having a dispute with his elder brother over a small piece of land. He was beaten to death brutally over this small matter. There was a commotion in the area after the incident. A crowd of people gathered around. On the other hand, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. The incident occurred in ward number three of Pachhiyari Jhirwa Panchayat of Forbisganj police station area. The deceased was identified as Sitaram Mehta (50), son of late Motilal Mehta.

It is being told that Sitaram Mehta was the second among four brothers. He used to earn his livelihood by living in the state with his younger brother. It is alleged that the elder brother accused Rajaram was living away from his ancestral residence at a place where he had built his own house. There was a dispute regarding Sitaram’s share of land. Meanwhile, Sitaram was getting soil filling work done on his share near the house of the accused brother. On Saturday, Sitaram was roaming around in search of laborers to do soil work. During this time, the accused elder brother forbade Sitaram from doing soil work in his share. When Sitaram did not listen, he, along with his sons, killed his brother by beating him with sticks and bamboo.
Police engaged in investigation
After the incident, the deceased’s wife Sanju Devi along with two daughters and one son are in a bad condition due to crying. Meanwhile, Forbesganj Sub-Divisional Police Officer Mukesh Kumar Saha, Police Station Head Raghavendra Kumar Singh reached the spot with a large number of police force and investigated the matter. Forbesganj Sub-Divisional Police Officer Mukesh Kumar Saha said that Rajaram Mehta has killed his brother Sitaram Mehta in a dispute over a piece of land. The body is being sent for post-mortem. The police will investigate the matter and take strict action.
