In the same sequence, the police in Vaishali have arrested four smugglers including two women traveling in a car with 16 kg of ganja. This action has been taken by the police of Sarai police station near the toll plaza. The police is currently interrogating all of them.
Arrest made during vehicle checking
In this matter, the police say that late on Sunday night, the police of Sarai police station was running an intensive vehicle checking campaign near the toll plaza located on Hajipur-Muzaffarpur road. Meanwhile, a car driver coming from Muzaffarpur side, after seeing the vehicle being checked, turned the car and started running away. Seeing the car being driven away, the police became suspicious and chased it and caught it. When the police searched the car, 16 kg of intoxicant ganja was recovered from the car. There were two women in the car. During interrogation it became clear that both the women were mother and daughter. Along with the two women, two other persons were also traveling in that car. Police arrested all four after ganja was recovered from the car. The arrested smugglers have been identified as Golu Kumar, Jaleshwar Rai, Khushboo Kumari and Chandram Devi, residents of Patna district. Police are taking action in this case by registering a named FIR against all four.
Were going to Patna with ganja from Nepal
In this regard, Vaishali SP Harkishore Rai has said that on the basis of secret information, the police has caught the vehicle during a joint investigation of Block Development Officer Bhagwanpur and Sarai police station. During the car check, police seized the car along with 16 kg ganja and Rs 2,000. Raids are being conducted to arrest other people involved in the ganja smuggling gang. Police is taking action to register an FIR under the NDPS Act. Police say that the four smugglers were going to bring ganja from Nepal and supply it to Patna. Both mother and daughter are involved in this work.
