An MR (Medical Representative), who had left home to attend a meeting from Purnia to Patna, died in a road accident. After the death, the family members are in bad condition and crying. After the information, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem and started investigating the case. The accident happened near Purnia bus stand. The deceased MR has been identified as Sumesh Sharma (25), son of America Sharma, resident of Madhopara in Khazanchi police station area.
Regarding the incident, AMA’s family members told that Sumesh Kumar was working as MR (Medical Representative) in a pharmaceutical company named Elcom in Purnia for about a year. The company had a meeting in Patna today (March 5). That is why around 8 pm on Monday night, I had gone to Purnia bus stand to catch the bus to attend the Patna meeting. At around 11 o’clock the hospital received a call from an unknown number and informed that Sumesh Sharma was injured in a road accident and the situation was very serious.
He told that on receiving information about the incident, we immediately reached Purnia GMCH. Seeing Sumesh’s condition very serious, the doctor referred him to a higher center. After this we admitted Sumesh to a private hospital in Purnia for treatment. Where he died during treatment at around 2 o’clock in the night. He said that how and where the incident happened is not known. On receiving information about the incident, Kehat police station took possession of the body and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem and started investigating the case.
