Sunita Devi, the current Mukhiya of Sheikhpura Panchayat under Bihariganj block area of ââMadhepura district, got married for the third time to the secretary of her own ward. Due to this, a high voltage drama was witnessed at the house of the youth in Sheikhpura. Mukhiya Sunita Devi was having an affair with Naveen Kumar, 25-year-old son of Shashi Bhushan Mehta, a resident of Ward-10 of the village, for about two years. About a week ago, both of them fled from home. On August 30, both of them got married in front of a notary public with mutual consent in Udakishunganj. As soon as the news of the marriage reached the village, people started protesting. People said that the Mukhiya should immediately resign from her post, they do not want such a Mukhiya who tarnishes the entire society. Bihariganj Police Station Officer Amit Ranjan and CO Avinash Kumar, who reached the spot, arrested the third husband of the Mukhiya.
The chief has had three marriages in 11 years
Jangli Devi, mother of Mukhiya Sunita Devi, said that her daughterâs first marriage was in 2013 with a youth of the same caste in Belapemo of Purnia district. After a few days, she came to her maternal home, after that she never went back to her in-lawsâ house. In 2014, she had a love marriage with Sanjay Sah, son of Ramdhin Sah of Sheikhpura village. They also have two sons. She told that after winning the Mukhiya election in 2021, Sunita Devi came in contact with Ward Secretary Naveen Kumar of Ward-8. During this time, the closeness between the two started increasing. On August 30, she left her husband and a child and fled with her lover.
