Just 19 months after her marriage, the newly married woman was murdered in Saran and her body disappeared. The allegation has been leveled against the in-laws. After the incident, the mother of the newly married woman has filed a written application in the police station and lodged a primary complaint. The incident took place in Mubarakpur Tola under Senduari village of Madhaura police station area. The deceased has been identified as Gudiya Devi, wife of Omprakash, resident of Mubarakpur Tola.

In the FIR lodged, it has been said that Gudiya Devi was married to Omprakash, son of Sharma Rai, resident of Mubarakpur Tola of Senduari village in June 2023. After marriage, her in-laws kept her daughter well for about six months. But after six months, husband Omprakash Rai, father-in-law Sharma Rai, brother-in-law Jitendra Rai and his wife Mamta Devi started asking her daughter Gudiya Devi to bring one lakh cash and a bike from her maternal home as dowry. When she expressed her inability to bring dowry in view of her father’s condition, everyone started harassing her daughter. On getting information about this from her daughter, she called her daughter to her home in Jalalpur. After a few days, her in-laws called her daughter and took her to their home. But then everyone started harassing his daughter. During this time, the accused had also tried to murder her daughter, in which Gudiya Devi somehow managed to save her life.

Information received about daughter running away from in-laws’ house

On December 6, around 8 am, Gudiya Devi’s husband called and informed that his daughter had run away from home. On receiving this information, he and his family members ran away. When they reached the daughter’s house, they came to know from the villagers that everyone had murdered Gudiya Devi and disappeared the body somewhere. In this case, local police station in-charge Mukesh Kumar said that the police have registered an FIR and started their investigation. It will be revealed soon. However, after the FIR was registered, everyone is said to be absconding from the house, due to which the main door of the house is locked.
