Late on Tuesday night, criminals shot a youth riding a bike near Chipura Fly Mill in Gaurichak police station area of Patna. The injured youth was immediately admitted to Nalanda Medical College Hospital, Patna for treatment, where he died during treatment. The deceased youth has been identified as Rajeev Ranjan (25), who is said to be a resident of Digha, Patna. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police took the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. The police have started scanning the CCTV cameras around the incident spot.
Was going from Digha to his in-laws house Gaurichak by bike
It is being told that late on Tuesday night Rajiv Ranjan was going from Digha to his in-laws house Gaurichak on his bike. Meanwhile, criminals ambushed from the east opened fire on Rajeev Ranjan. The bullet hit Rajiv Ranjan’s face and he fell there. After committing the incident, the criminals fled from there on a motorcycle. As soon as the people of the village heard the sound of firing, they reached the spot and admitted the injured youth to Nalanda Medical College Hospital in Patna for treatment. During treatment, doctors declared the young man dead. People informed this to Gaurichak police station.
Police engaged in investigation after the incident
As soon as the information was received, the police of Gaurichak police station reached the spot and on the basis of the documents found from the youth, the deceased has been identified as Rajiv Ranjan, resident of Digha. Police informed the family members of Rajeev Ranjan about the incident. The police is busy finding out the reasons for the incident. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of sensation in the entire village. Gaurichak police station in-charge Amit Kumar told that Rajiv Ranjan had come to his in-laws’ house in Lahlarpur. In this sequence, information has been received that he was murdered. In response to a question, he said that efforts are being made to find out the reasons for the incident.
