Police negligence has come to light after the accused in a robbery case in Purnia, Bihar got relief from the court. Taking strict action in the case, SP Upendra Nath Verma has suspended the then Additional SHO of Banmankhi, Varun Kumar Jha. Varun Kumar Jha was currently working as SI in Dhamdaha. This action of the SP has created a stir in the police department.
Actually, the accused in the robbery case got relief from the court due to not filing the chargesheet on time. SP Upendra Nath Verma said that the accused got benefit from the court due to the negligence of the police, which is a serious matter. He said that such negligence will not be tolerated. He said that the police need to be more careful and work strictly in their work. This matter will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken against the guilty officers.
Earlier, SP Upendra Nath Verma had stopped the salary of 75 police personnel. He had warned all the policemen that if their working style is not improved then more strict action will be taken against them. They can also be suspended.
