In a dispute over just 15 dhur land in Samastipur, the nephew killed his elderly uncle by throwing him on the road. During this time, he also beat up and injured his cousin, who is undergoing treatment at a private level. The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Rai (66), son of late Banto Rai of Jawaharpur village under Ujiarpur police station area. On receiving information about the incident, Ujiarpur police sent the body to Sadar Hospital on Monday night. In this case, 7 people including Sujit Kumar Rai have been named on the statement of the deceased’s son Ranjit Kumar.

Regarding the incident, Sundeshwar Rai, the cousin of the deceased, said that Sujit Kumar, nephew of the deceased Mahendra Rai, had given drugs to Mahendra Rai in the month of April last year and got 15 dhur land of Bas registered. After four months, when the family members came to know about this matter, the family filed an application against him in the police. Then Panchayat was held several times in the village regarding this incident, but Sujit was not ready to accept anything.

The incident was carried out with his associates two days ago

Sundeshwar Rai, cousin of the deceased, told that two days ago Sujit Rai along with his associates suddenly pulled Mahendra Rai and his son Sujit Kumar from the house and threw them on the road, in which both of them got seriously injured. A crowd of villagers gathered there during the incident. Injured Mahendra was being treated by the village doctor from the village itself. In the same sequence, he died on Monday evening during treatment. As soon as Mahendra Rai died, his family members informed the Ujiarpur police about the incident. As soon as information about the incident was received, Ujiarpur police reached the spot and sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

FIR registered on the statement of the deceased’s son

Ujiarpur police station incharge Mukesh Kumar said that after receiving information about the incident, a police officer was sent to the spot. This incident has been carried out due to land dispute. The police station chief said that after the incident, on the statement of the deceased’s son Ranjit Rai, 7 people including Sujit Kumar Rai have been named, for whose arrest the police is conducting raids. The body of the deceased has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
