Under the Mission Karmayogi initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which operates under the Department of Personnel and Training. An MoU was signed between Capacity Building Commission, Karmayogi Bharat and Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) on 7 October 2024. The objective of this agreement is to strengthen the capabilities of government officers and employees in Bihar, so that all public servants can move from rule based to role based. This will be done through Karmayogi platform which is a major digital initiative to empower government servants.

Active participation of government officials of Bihar

Government officials of Bihar are actively participating in various online courses available on the iGOT Karmayogi platform. So far 20 MDO Admins have been successfully registered and a total of 2,42,053 Karmayogis have been onboarded on the platform. This has resulted in 31,368 course enrollments being recorded. A total of 23,724 course completions and certificate attainments are reported, demonstrating the strong involvement and commitment of officers to enhance their professional skills.

Various courses are available on this platform to improve administrative and governance skills. To ensure inclusivity and accessibility, these courses have also been made available in Hindi. The 25 course modules of the Mission Karmayogi platform have been completely translated into Hindi, including Hindi voice overs and subtitles. This makes these courses accessible to a wider audience in Bihar and other regions.

Continuous efforts for skill development

The signing of this MoU marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between Capacity Building Commission Karmayogi Bharat and Government of Bihar. This collaboration will encourage continuous learning and skill enhancement for civil servants of Bihar, which will ultimately ensure better public service. The digital training programs under the Mission Karmayogi initiative align with the Government’s commitment to encourage a more efficient, responsive and skilled workforce, leading to better governance and better delivery of services to the citizens of India.

National Program for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) provides Karmayogi Bharat portal to civil service officers. It is an online learning platform that aims to build a capable civil service rooted in the Indian ethos, with a shared understanding of India’s priorities and the ability to get the job done.
