In the same sequence, RJD Panchayat President Govind Yadav was caught by the police while distributing notes for RJD candidate in Belaganj assembly constituency. Besides, the police have also seized envelopes worth Rs 200 each from the detained accused. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Senior SP Ashish Bharti has ordered an investigation.
Money was being distributed for the purpose of buying votes
According to the information received, RJD Panchayat President Govind Yadav was caught by the villagers while distributing money among the voters in Koeri Bigha village of Belaganj assembly constituency late on Monday night. Villagers said that Govind Yadav was allegedly distributing envelopes worth Rs 200 each to woo voters. Seeing their suspicious activities, they were surrounded and the police was informed. Police reached the spot and took Govind Yadav into custody. Police seized a total of 20 envelopes worth Rs 200 each from accused Govind Yadav. People said that the money was being distributed for the purpose of buying votes. Seeing the seriousness of this matter, Senior SP Ashish Bharti ordered an investigation. At present, the police of Belaganj police station is busy investigating the case.
