Expansion
From Lok Janshakti Party to Bharatiya Janata Party, they have given their candidates for Nawada seat, but the issue is the same. Nawada once elected Giriraj Singh from BJP as MP, then Chandan Singh from LJP. Both were outsiders. This time the same thing is being publicized with Vivek Singh also. But, the story of Nawada is not so simple. Sports has become very interesting in Nawada. The Grand Alliance is surrounded by its own problems and has not been able to find a solution. On the other hand, BJP seems to have failed so far in bringing together the voters of the caste of the Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate. There are many such reasons due to which a different kind of exciting contest seems to be taking place in Nawada.
How big is the Chandan Singh factor?
Just as Giriraj Singh came and went, similarly there are thoughts about Chandan Singh. This is the reason why people do not hear any talk about their living or not. Yes, the BJP candidate has to explain at various places why he is not an outsider and how he will solve the shortcomings of the previous MP.
A dent in RJD’s vote base
RJD’s Vinod Yadav is no less in discussion than the two candidates here. This election has become a question of their life and death. RJD gave ticket to Shravan Kumar Kushwaha of his arch rival camp. He has also said that RJD ticket will be sold for Rs 5-7 crore. Grand alliance may make some claims, but Vinod Yadav has influenced a fair portion of RJD’s vote bank.
Bhumihar himself became choiceless
This is a Bhumihar dominated Lok Sabha seat. Therefore, in NDA the stake is generally played on this caste. This time Vivek Thakur has also come from the same group. For this reason, the effect of Bhumihars’ displeasure with BJP seems to be ineffective here, another thing is that people of this caste do not like RJD candidate Shravan Kumar Kushwaha. Meaning, this situation is icing on the cake for BJP. By the way, Bhojpuri singer Gunjan Singh has tried his best to damage this vote bank of BJP by contesting as an independent.
All is not well for BJP
It is wrong to say that everything is good for BJP. Here, the reputation of the Deputy Chief Minister of the state government and Bihar State President Samrat Chaudhary from the BJP quota is directly at stake. It is being said that despite Samrat Chaudhary and Upendra Kushwaha, the voters of Kushwaha caste are in a state of mobilization regarding Shravan Kumar.
Understand mathematics from the point of view of MLAs
Nawada Lok Sabha seat has five assembly constituencies of this district and also Barbigha assembly constituency of Shekhpura district. Four out of six assembly seats are with the Grand Alliance, while two are with the NDA. Among these, Vibha Devi, sister-in-law of RJD leader Vinod Yadav, and MLA Prakash Veer, a supporter of former minister Rajvallabh Yadav, are not expected to benefit the Grand Alliance. It remains to be seen how much it is possible for RJD to manage Vinod Yadav and Rajvallabh factor at the last moment.
Where are things going astray in caste mathematics?
Caste-wise, the most influential Bhumihar vote appears to be one-sided apart from sporadic scattering, whereas after this, there seems to be greater fragmentation among the influential Yadavs. The biggest thing of relief for the Grand Alliance is the Muslim population, which is considered to be at the third number. Among the Mahadalits, the Pasi community RJD is talking about going with the Rajvanshi community which is in conflict with it, BJP. As far as backward classes are concerned, efforts are being made from both sides to integrate them.
Also see the mathematics of the last election here
In the last Lok Sabha elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal had fielded Vibha Devi as its candidate and had claimed that she would win, but then Lok Janshakti Party candidate Chandan Singh won by a bigger margin than in 2014. Chandan Singh, brother of Bahubali Surajbhan Singh, entered politics for the first time and registered this victory. Chandan Singh got more than 4.95 lakh votes here, while RJD’s Vibha Devi could get only 3.47 lakh votes. Here about 35 thousand people pressed NOTA, yet here NDA won by a bigger margin than in 2014. Then here Giriraj Singh had defeated former RJD minister Rajvallabh Yadav. The thing to be seen is that this time Rajvallabh’s supporters have taken a stand against the current RJD candidate.
