The headmaster (principal) of Adarsh Middle School Sapa in Jalalgarh block of Purnia died. Family members claim that his health suddenly deteriorated in school due to the heat. We took him to PHC but the doctor referred him to GMCH. He died before reaching the hospital. The headmaster was looking after the work of conducting classes in his school. During this time his health suddenly deteriorated. Immediately after the incident, teachers and staff of the school reached Jalalgarh PHC along with the principal.
The doctor referred him to Purnia Medical College cum Sadar Hospital (GMCH). But, the principal died before reaching the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Awadhesh Kumar (45), resident of Ekambha village of Jalalgarh block. He became a teacher after passing the BPSC examination in 1994.

Giving information, Kailash Mandal, teacher of Adarsh Middle School Sapa, said that Principal Avadhesh Kumar had gone to Jalalgarh Adarsh Middle School Sapa today (Monday) like every day. Due to extreme heat, while supervising the work of conducting the class, his health suddenly deteriorated. After this he fell on the ground.
Took the principal to Jalalgarh PHC
The teachers and staff of the school took the principal to Jalalgarh PHC. Called the family members and informed them about the incident. Here, seeing the continuously deteriorating health of the principal, the doctor referred him to GMCH, Purnia. Where the principal died before reaching the hospital. In this matter, GMCH administration said that the matter of death due to heat is being investigated. Further action is going on in the matter.
