A condolence meeting was held on Tuesday in the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Rajendranagar, Patna. This was a condolence meeting on the death of a 13-14 year old child. Due to the heat, he went home unconscious from school and then when the school opened on Monday, the news of his death came. The teachers also digested this news due to the fear of the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, KK Pathak. No news was conveyed to anyone. Because, just a day before, an order was issued to deduct a week’s salary of a teacher of another school when she expressed her helplessness about opening the school due to heat. This is Bihar. Why shouldn’t the teachers be afraid? The District Magistrates of all the 38 districts of Bihar are afraid. On Wednesday Information of about 100 children fainting in eight districts I. Teachers and cooks too. But, DM is not giving leave anywhere. The reason for fear is the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department KK Pathak. Since Wednesday morning, ‘Amar Ujala’ was running a continuous campaign through these news. An hour after this news was finally published, at around six o’clock, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directly ordered the Chief Secretary to keep all schools completely closed till June 8. The Chief Secretary gave this information by issuing an order to be issued in place of the yellow paper to KK Pathak’s Education Department. Along with this, the Chief Secretary directly informed the District Magistrates about the Chief Minister’s order. Meaning, now finally, teaching and learning will remain completely closed in all government schools, private schools, coaching, Anganwadi centers etc. till June 8. Here, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar also talked to all the DMs about the situation.
The education minister was changed, the DM was removed… this is KK Pathak
The name of the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, KK Pathak, resounds everywhere. The reason is his stubbornness. Due to this stubbornness, he got the department of the then Education Minister, Prof. Chandrashekhar, changed through Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the Mahagathbandhan government. After that, there was a dispute over the order given as the District Magistrate of Patna to close the schools in winter, so the Patna DM was transferred. After this, when he obeyed the Raj Bhavan, i.e. the Governor of the state as Chancellor, the salaries of the teachers and non-teaching staff of the universities were stopped. Before these incidents, despite the video of KK Pathak abusing in a government meeting going viral twice and being heard calling Biharis lazy, no action was taken against him. Therefore, everyone is scared. Action is taken against the one who complains. In such a situation, no DM is using the right to close the schools even when the heat is felt to be 48 to 50 degrees. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was sitting silently. Education Minister Sunil Kumar of Janata Dal United quota is a retired IPS, but he was not even responding to messages to talk about this. Forget about meeting him, he is not even responding to calls. After continuous questions from Amar Ujala, the education department also ordered to make school timings till 10 am till June 6. But the real situation is that the roads are becoming deserted as soon as morning comes, so will the children return home at 11 am or go straight to the hospital? Then after some time, at around six in the evening, the direct order of the Chief Minister reached the Chief Secretary and KK Pathak was also given a stern lesson.
