Recently a new decision of Indian Railways came regarding Bihar Sampark Kranti Superfast opening from Darbhanga station to Delhi. It has been said that Bihar Sampark Kranti Superfast will now be ready for the passengers at Darbhanga Junction on time. This train will now be able to depart at its scheduled time. Suddenly a stampede occurred in Bihar Sampark Kranti Superfast going from Darbhanga to New Delhi. Suddenly smoke started coming out from between two coaches of the train. After this there was panic among the passengers. On hearing the news of fire, passengers started jumping from the bogie along with their luggage. Railway personnel say that due to brake binding in the train, smoke started coming out from bogie number S-4. The incident took place near Goraul station of Muzaffarpur-Hajipur railway section. The driver quickly stopped the train by applying emergency brakes.
There was chaos as soon as the smoke came out
Regarding the incident, RPF says that the train left from Muzaffarpur Junction for Hajipur at 10.36 am. As soon as it crossed Goraul station, the driver of Bihar Sampark Kranti Superfast train got information that smoke was coming out from bogie number S-4. As soon as the information was received, the driver stopped the train by applying emergency brakes. As soon as the information was received, the RPF team doing SCOT and RPF officials from Bhagwanpur reached the spot. At that time there was an atmosphere of panic among the passengers. Passengers were running away after getting down from the train with their luggage. Once there, the officers explained to the passengers, extinguished the fire and then repaired the brake bindings with the help of the guard, driver and Scott’s team.
Railway officials gave the reason
RPF says that apart from S-4, S-3 and S-5 were also engulfed in smoke. In this regard, a railway official says that the incident of brake binding took place due to hot axle. He said that no accident of any kind has occurred. There is no report of any loss to life or property.
