An unknown person pelted stones at the Patna-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express going from Patna to Tatanagar between Sarmatand and Yadudih stations of Gaya-Gomo railway section, due to which a glass of a coach of the train got broken and damaged. It is fortunate that no passenger was injured in this incident. After the incident, a case was registered against unknown person at Hazaribagh RPF post. This incident happened late Thursday evening.

Stone pelting took place after opening from Gaya

Railway personnel say that the down Patna-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express (20894) was passing between Sarmatand and Yadudih stations at 5:15 in the evening after leaving Gaya. Then an unknown person pelted stones at railway kilometer number 368/24 at C/2-43, 44 and C/5-63, 64. The glass of a coach of Vande Bharat Express was broken and damaged in stone pelting. It is fortunate that not a single passenger was injured in the said incident.

RPF and Railway Police team engaged in investigation

After receiving information about the incident, RPF and Railway Police teams have increased their activity. On departmental instructions, a joint team of Koderma RPF and Hazaribagh Road RPF has started searching for the stone pelter. However, after the incident, RPF has increased vigil on Koderma-Gaya railway section. RPF officers and soldiers deployed on duty in this railway section have been instructed to keep special vigil on other trains and Vande Bharat Express.
