Three people including a young woman died due to lightning in Bhojpur, Bihar. The incidents are from different police station areas. The first incident is from Mangaul village of Jagdishpur police station area, the second incident is from Chanda village of Sikarhatta police station area, while the third incident is from Shivganj Tola of Teer police station area.

A woman died while grazing cattle

The deceased has been identified as Devanti Devi (62), wife of Jagdish Yadav, a resident of Mangoul village of Jagdishpur police station area. Villagers say that Devanti Devi was grazing cattle in the field with other women. Suddenly it started raining heavily. During the rain, lightning struck in which Devanti Devi died on the spot, while another woman Shail Kumari Devi (60) was seriously injured and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

The young man was grazing buffalo

The second incident is from Chanda village of Sikarhatta police station area, where a young man who had gone to graze buffaloes was struck by lightning. The young man died on the spot as soon as the lightning struck from the sky. The deceased has been identified as Rajveer Paswan, son of Nand Paswan, a resident of Chanda village. The villagers informed the Sikarhatta police about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and sent the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
