RPF has arrested two accused in the case of stone pelting on Jaynagar-New Delhi Swatantrata Senani Superfast train number 12561 in Darbhanga, Bihar. Both have been sent to jail in judicial custody. Actually, stones were pelted on the train near the canal between Bijli Halt and Kakarghati station on the late evening of June 14. Both the accused have been identified as Mohammad Pyare (22), son of Mohammad Parvez and Mohammad Raja (24), son of Mohammad Sabir, both residents of Kharthua village of Sadar block.

According to the information, on the evening of 14th June, stones were pelted on the Swatantrata Senani Superfast train going from Jaynagar to New Delhi. A woman passenger named Sudhira Devi travelling in the train suffered a minor eye injury due to the glass of the window of AC coach number B-6 breaking. On receiving the information, the SSF and personnel of Darbhanga immediately arranged for the treatment of the woman when the train reached Darbhanga station.

After leaving Darbhanga, when the train reached Samastipur, the medical team provided necessary medical assistance to the female passenger Sudhira Devi. The injured passenger in this incident was advised to lodge a complaint, but she refused to register an FIR. The divisional administration had directed necessary action in this matter. After that, action was taken to arrest the accused and register a case.

Darbhanga RPF Inspector Manoj Horo said that in this case, on the instructions of a senior railway officer, an FIR was lodged against these two at the RPF post, Darbhanga. After investigation, both the accused have been arrested.
