Two brothers arrested for murder of the same boy

On the morning of 30 December, a dead body was found hanging from a tree in the field of Maheshadih village. That body belonged to Rishabh Kumar, minor son of Gopal Rai, resident of Jagatpur Mohalla. On receiving information about the incident, Banka police station incharge Rakesh Kumar reached the spot with the police team, took possession of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital Banka for post-mortem. Taking further action, the police registered a case of murder against unknown criminals on the statement of the deceased’s father Gopal Rai and started investigation.
CCTV footage revealed the secret
As part of the investigation, the police started scanning the CCTV footage installed at the scene of the incident and in the direction of the criminals’ escape. As a result the police identified the criminals. As soon as the accused were identified, the police team arrested two brothers, Badal Kumar and Rahul Kumar, involved in this incident. After the confession of the criminals, the police recovered the mobile phone of the deceased from the place mentioned by them. Regarding the incident, SDPO Bipin Bihari said that another criminal involved in this incident is being searched.
The accused brothers told the reason for the murder
During interrogation by the police, both the accused brothers confessed that deceased Rishabh Kumar had murdered my brother Shivam Kumar on April 1, 2023. In retaliation for the murder of their brother, both the brothers together murdered Rishabh Kumar. Both the arrested brothers are sons of Vijay Poddar, resident of Vijaynagar Mohalla of Banka. Police have also recovered the motorcycle used in the incident. Police say that accused Badal Kumar and Rahul Kumar say that Rishabh Kumar along with his friends had murdered my brother. Therefore, we had decided that the person who had murdered my brother should not be spared at any cost, so we killed him and hanged him on a tree.
