Two people, including a passenger in the auto, died on the spot in a collision between a highway and an auto on the Gaya-Tikari main road. The collision was so severe that the auto was blown to pieces. After the incident, the Haiwa driver left the Haiwa truck and ran away. The police of the concerned police station took both the bodies in their custody and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem. The incident occurred at 9.30 am on Thursday.

Local people caught hold of Haiwa truck

According to the information, on Thursday morning, near Kewali village on Gaya-Tikari main road, a Hyva truck traveling at high speed from the opposite direction hit the auto. In the said incident, the auto driver and a passenger on the auto died on the spot. After the incident, the local people caught hold of the Haiwa truck. But taking advantage of the opportunity the highway driver escaped. After that the local people informed the police of Chandauti police station. After receiving the information, police reached the spot, took both the bodies in their custody and sent them to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The police seized the Haiwa truck from the spot and took it to the police station. After the incident, local people blocked the road and started creating ruckus. The police somehow convinced the people and removed the road jam.

Highway and auto collided due to fog

Chandauti police station incharge Ranvijay Kumar Singh said that due to fog there was a massive collision between a highway and an auto near Kewali village. In the said incident, a passenger traveling on the auto and the auto driver died on the spot. The bodies of both have been taken into their custody and sent to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The auto driver has been identified as Gaurav Mishra, resident of Tikari police station area. The second passenger on the auto has been identified as 50-year-old Bansal Singh, a resident of Badki Delha locality of Delha police station area. The families of both the deceased have been informed about the incident. The highway driver is being identified. Will be arrested after identification.
