Two people died in a direct collision between a truck and a bike on Friday night near Saraiya bridge of Sarayaranjan police station area on Samastipur-Patna main road. One died on the spot, while the other died while being taken to Sadar Hospital. The deceased have been identified as Shankar Rajak and Munna Shah, residents of Sarayaranjan Garedi Toll of Sarayaranjan police station area.

Two youth riding a bike died

Regarding the incident, Fatira Rajak, father of deceased Shankar Rajak, told that at around 10:00 pm his son Shankar Rajak had gone to Saraiya Chowk on a bike with Munna Shah of the same village. Meanwhile, a truck coming from Halai hit the bike hard from the front. Munna Shah died on the spot as soon as he stumbled. When the commotion broke out, the nearby people gathered, took both of them in a vehicle and sent them to Sadar Hospital at night, where the on-duty doctor Santosh Kumar Jha declared both of them dead. Meanwhile, a large crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. As soon as the information about the death came, there was confusion among the family members.

Police engaged in action

Regarding the incident, ASP Sanjay Pandey said that two people riding a bike died in a collision between a truck and a bike. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and seized the accident vehicle. However, the driver and the passenger jumped from the truck and ran away. ASP Sanjay Pandey said that the truck has been confiscated. The police officer has done Panchnama of both the bodies and sent them to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The relatives of the deceased have been informed about the incident.
