People were troubled by the terror of jackals in Sherpur and many villages of Mushari block area and the forest department team was engaged in rescuing people to get rid of this terror. Villagers were terrified due to jackal attack
Villagers say that for the past several days, people were in panic due to the attack and terror of jackals. The forest department team had asked them to be alert keeping in mind the safety of the people. People were not coming out of their houses due to fear, after which efforts to surround the jackal started by staying awake all night. The villagers were alert. As soon as the jackal was seen, a group of villagers pounced upon it and killed it by beating it with sticks. The forest department team, which reached the spot immediately after the incident, started further action.
