Medanta Cancer Congress was organized at Jaiprabha Medanta Hospital. On this occasion, Medanta Group Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Naresh Trehan said that we are committed to provide all the modern and world-class treatment to the cancer patients of Bihar, which is available in our country and abroad. Whatever treatment and investigation facilities are available in the big cities of the country, we are providing all those facilities in Bihar and will continue to do so in future. To ensure that the cancer patients of Bihar do not have to go to other cities of the country for treatment, we keep calling famous doctors of big cities and organizing conferences here.
Dr. Ravi Shankar Singh, Medical Director of Jayprabha Medanta Hospital said that this cancer congress has been organized for the cancer doctors, pathologists, radiologists, gastroenterologists, GI surgeons and general surgeons and medical students of Bihar so that they can update themselves by gaining knowledge from the eminent doctors who have come to the congress. We have connected all the professionals with this cancer congress, cancer patients will also benefit from it.
Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Secretary of the Organizing Committee of Cancer Congress, said that Dr. Manish S. Bhandare of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Sandeep Nayak P. of Fortis Hospital, Bangalore were also present in this Cancer Congress. The chairperson of the Congress was Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, Director of Radiation Oncology, Jayprabha Medanta Hospital and co-chairperson was Dr. Ashish Kumar Jha, Director of Gastroenterology of the hospital. Dr. Sandeep said that this Congress was Gastroenterology (GI) Oncology. The Congress was organized by Jayprabha Medanta Hospital in collaboration with Bihar Chapter of ASI and Indian Society of Gastroenterology. Apart from Patna AIIMS, IGIMS, IGIC, Patna Medical College, Nalanda Medical College, Narayan Medical College Sasaram, doctors from many private hospitals of Patna and Bihar were also present in the congress.
A scientific program was also held in the congress which included Role of PET-CT Scan in GI Oncology, Imaging for Hepato Binary Cancer, Role of Endoscopy in Early Gastric Cancer, Video Presentation on Ultra Loentero Recession, Advances in Pancreatic Cancer Surgery, Panel Discussion on Peripheral Cancer, Emerging Concepts in Colorectal Surgery and Panel Discussion on Rectal Cancer. Faculty from Medanta included Dr. Sanjoy Kumar, Dr. Ashish Kumar Jha, Dr. Ranjan Kumar, Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Amendra Amar, Dr. Saket Vallabh, Dr. Avinash Kumar, Dr. Amit P, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. Arunav Kumar, Dr. Hari Prasad Ayanti, Dr. Kumar Gaurav, Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. Amit Kumar were included.
