A young man died under suspicious circumstances near Dashavata village on the Indo Nepal border in Bettiah, Bihar. The incident happened on Sunday evening. Hundreds of people gathered at the scene. On receiving the information of the incident, Nepal Police reached the spot and started identifying the body. However, people present at the scene identified the body as Rampravesh Mahato (35), son of late Mohan Mahato, a resident of Rampurwa village in Mainatand police station area. The young man was not married.
Some people present at the scene said that the young man used to support his family by working as a palanquin bearer. People also speculated that the young man had fallen down while being drunk and died. The young man must have come to drink Nepali liquor. However, there has been no official confirmation of drinking liquor.
It is being told that the deceased was wearing pants and shirt. His slippers fell from the road into the field. Blood was found coming out of the mouth of the youth. Some people have also expressed the possibility of the youth’s leg being broken.
Here, Inspector Rajan Dhakal of Pokhariya area of Parsa district Nepal said that the body has been taken into custody and is being sent for postmortem. After the postmortem report comes, it will be clear how the young man died. The police is investigating the case thoroughly.
