A youth resident of Semaria village of Kateya police station of Gopalganj district was murdered. On Friday, his three friends called him from his home and took him away. Later, his body was found in a pond in Ahrauli village. The relatives have accused the deceased’s friends of murder. The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Pipul Rai, son of Ravindra Rai, a resident of Semaria village of Panchdevri block. The three friends of the deceased are absconding since the incident. Meanwhile, the police took the body into custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Gopalganj for postmortem.
He had called three friends from home and taken them with him
It is said that Pipul Rai used to drive a truck from Delhi to Guwahati. He was staying at home for the past one month. On Friday afternoon, three friends arrived on two bikes and took Pipul Rai with them. In the evening, a young man called from his mobile and said that Pipul Rai had fallen into the canal near Tetaria village. When the family reached the canal in Tetaria, nothing was found. When the family called, he informed that Pipul Rai had fallen into the pond near Ahirauli village. When the family reached near Ahirauli village, Pipul Rai’s body was lying and the mobile was kept on his chest. Water had not entered the mobile and the call was also made from his mobile, this is what made the family suspicious. With the help of the people around, the family brought Pipul Rai to Panchdevri Primary Health Center, where the doctor declared him dead.
To hide the evidence, the body was thrown in the pond
Here, the police of Kateya police station was informed about the incident. As soon as the information of the case was received, Kateya police reached the spot and after investigation, took the body in custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Gopalganj for postmortem. After this incident, there is chaos among the family members. Pipul was the younger of two brothers. The police has started the investigation by collecting technical evidence to solve the mystery of death. In the technical investigation, CDR and call details of the deceased’s mobile phone are being extracted. How the young man died could not be revealed. At the same time, in this case, the police say that after the postmortem report comes, it will be clear how the death occurred. A written complaint has also been sought from the family to register an FIR. After the death of Pipul Rai, the family has accused of murder. The deceased’s mother Renu Devi said that his three friends came to the door on a bike and called him and took him with them. After committing the murder, the body was thrown in the pond to escape from the police and to hide the evidence. The police of Kateya police station is engaged in finding out about the three friends.
