The deceased was identified as Mohammad Farukh (45), son of Mohammad Sahmad Ali, resident of Jhanjhari Ward No. 12. The incident took place on the road going from Jhanjhari to Uda. Villager Ahmed Ali said that on Wednesday morning, Mohammad Farooq was sitting with two people on a platform built in bamboo forest on the roadside away from the village. During this time, the criminals shot Mohammad Farooq. The people sitting with him ran away and informed the village about this. After this, the villagers reached the spot. By then the criminals had fled. He said that the sound of three gunshots was heard. He said that Mohammad Farooq had no enmity with anyone. As soon as the information of the incident was received, Udakishunganj SDPO Avinash Kumar reached the spot and is investigating. FSL team is also being called to the spot.
