A massive fire broke out in the library of the Bar Association of Khagaria Court Complex in Khagaria, Bihar on Saturday morning. When the sweeper came to the court in the morning to clean it, he saw the fire. Due to his hue and cry, the people around came to know about the fire. After this people informed the fire brigade about the fire. As soon as the information was received, three fire tenders reached the court premises. Where the fire team extinguished the fire after two hours of hard work.

Estimated loss of 50 lakhs

Ambuj Kumar, joint secretary of Khagaria Bar Association, told that there has been a loss of about Rs 50 lakh. Twenty-five cupboards and thousands of books were kept in the library. Each book cost around Rs 1,500 to 2,000. Everything was completely burnt to ashes. Along with this, he told that there was also a water plant there. The entire plant including motor, water tank was gutted by fire.
