The New Year’s enthusiasm faded in Milky village of Khanpur police station area of ​​Samastipur district of Bihar when four women of the village got buried in a landslide. Two women died in this incident, while two are undergoing treatment. The condition of both remains critical. The deceased women have been identified as Renu Devi (30), wife of Ramesh Sada of the village, and Manju Kumari (15), daughter of Sanjeet Sada. Whereas Aarti Kumari, daughter of Moti Sada and Kajal Kumari, daughter of Mahavir Sada of the same village are undergoing treatment. Khanpur police reached the spot on receiving information about the incident, took the bodies of both the deceased in their custody and sent them to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. On the other hand, two injured girls are being treated by the doctors of the village itself.

Giving information, villager Anita Devi said that the women of the village were cleaning the courtyard of the house for the New Year. To clean up the house, four-five women had gone to the pond of the village to cut mud. All the women were cutting soil when suddenly a collapse occurred. Three teenagers including a woman were buried in this accident. Two of them died on the spot. While people dug out the soil and took out two teenage girls. All the injured are undergoing treatment.

On the other hand, after this incident there has been silence in the entire village. There is an atmosphere of mourning among the people who are busy celebrating the New Year. The sounds of crying are now coming from the people who were dancing to the tunes of the DJ till some time ago.

SP Sanjay Pandey said that two women have died after being buried in the cave-in. On receiving information about the incident, Khanpur police was sent to the spot. The bodies have been seized and brought to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Two teenage girls have been injured in this incident, who are undergoing treatment. An FIR is being registered regarding the incident.
