Khaki men are imparting alphabet knowledge to the children of Naxalite area. To educate the uneducated children, the police station has been converted into a school. Children from dozens of villages of Naxalite affected areas are getting alphabet knowledge in the said school. Policemen are playing the role of teachers. This entire case is of Chhakarbandha police station of Gaya district located in Naxalite affected area. Where police station in-charge Ajay Bahadur Singh is playing the role of teacher.
It is being told that a unique initiative has been taken in Chhakarbandha police station of Sherghati subdivision area of Gaya district. Along with their work, the police is also running a school in the police station. Where the policemen are spreading awareness about education among the illiterate children of dozens of villages in Naxal-affected areas. Along with education, moral education is also being imparted to the children. Children of Naxal areas can become good citizens of the country.
In this matter, Chakarbandha police station in-charge Ajay Bahadur Singh said that a plan is being made to expand further under the special campaign for the education of children of Naxal-affected areas. He said that children should not only be given primary education, but computer and other technical education should also be provided so that they can take advantage of many opportunities in the future.
A library will be established
He also said that keeping in view the needs and requirements of the children, a library will soon be established in the police station. Soon the library will be inaugurated under the leadership of Gaya’s Senior SP Ashish Bharti. The SHO said that I wish that the children of our area also dream big, but this can be possible only through education.
Children used to get scared seeing the uniform
Chakarbandha SHO Ajay Bahadur Singh said that when we came to this police station and used to roam in the villages, the children used to get scared seeing us in uniform. After a few days, I started teaching the children in the police station. Today the children are not afraid, rather they see us as a friend. I wish that these children move towards a better future. Become a good citizen of the country. All this can be possible only through education. With this objective, we are doing this work. He told that in the beginning only 15 children used to come to study. But gradually today 450 children come to the police station to get education.
