A grand celebration of Durga Puja has been organized by the Friendship Club Durga Puja Committee located in Kaptan Pada, Purnia. The puja pandal built here has become a big attraction for the people of the city with its unique design and grandeur.
The puja pandal is estimated to cost around Rs 40 lakh, making it the biggest budget puja pandal in the district. The construction of the pandal was completed in about 2 months, in which 40 to 50 laborers worked. About 5 thousand bamboos have been used in the construction of the pandal, which have been sourced from Assam and have been designed by artists from West Bengal.
