The Jan Satyagraha movement of Dainik Rail Yatri Sangh is going on regarding the stoppage of long distance trains and passenger facilities at Shekhpura Railway Junction. On the fourth day on Saturday, RJD MLA Vijay Samrat also reached the protest site with his supporters and supported the movement.

MLA Vijay Samrat said that people from hundreds of villages of Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Nawada, Lakhisarai and Jamui use this station. There are also many reputed educational institutions and Jain religious places, which are visited by a large number of students and devotees. If there is a stoppage of long distance trains, passengers will get convenience. Especially the business class will get more benefit from it. He has appealed to the people to participate in this mass Satyagraha movement so that express trains can be stopped at Sheikhpura Junction as soon as possible.

MLA Vijay Samrat said that local passengers are facing great inconvenience due to non-stoppage of Vande Bharat and other long distance trains at this junction located on Kiul-Gaya railway section of Danapur Railway Division. He said that correspondence has been made to the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister for the stoppage of express trains at Shekhpura Junction.

At the same time, Dainik Rail Yatri Sangh and other leaders said that the railway officials will have to talk, otherwise the agitation will intensify. They warned that if their demands were not met, they would stage a rail roko agitation. The agitators said that they will continue the agitation until concrete steps are taken on this issue.
