There was havoc of speed on Bihta-Sarmera two-lane on Friday morning in Nalanda, Bihar. Where a young man died in a road accident. Meanwhile, three other people were slightly injured. The incident took place near Masala Restaurant under Chandi police station area. The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Kumar (37), son of Sunder Prasad, resident of Chandipur village of Aungari police station area. Ranjit Kumar currently lived on rent in Bhainsasur locality of Laheri police station area.

Regarding the incident, the family members of the deceased told that the young man was taking some people to Patna in his car. Meanwhile, a trailer hit the car from behind while overtaking on Bihta-Sarmera two-lane near Masala Restaurant in Chandi police station area. Ranjit Kumar died on the spot in this accident. While three other people on board got minor injuries. At the same time, the trailer went out of control and overturned in a pit on the roadside.

The young man used to drive a daily newspaper. He used to come to Bihar Sharif every day with newspapers from Patna and used to work as a transporter during the day.

As soon as the family members got information about the road accident, they reached Sadar Hospital, where there was an outcry after seeing the dead body. The deceased has a daughter and a son. He was the only earning member of the family and was supporting his family in Bihar Sharif.

Chandi police station incharge Ravindra Kumar said that this incident happened due to overtake. The trailer driver has fled leaving the vehicle behind. Further action will be taken upon receipt of the application. The body was taken out of the vehicle with the help of JCB. The car has been badly damaged.
