The incident took place last night in Tarabari village of Baisi police station area. The robbery incident took place at the house of Mo. Naeem, Mo. Naushad, Mo. Ahijul, Mo. Arshad, residents of Tarabari village.

The victim’s family member Farhaz said that it was around 12 o’clock at night. Everyone was getting ready to sleep. Then suddenly the sound of firing and bombing started coming from outside. When I peeped through the window, I saw about two dozen people coming towards the house. All the miscreants were armed. After some time, they entered the house of Naeem and his relatives. They threatened Naeem with weapons and beat him up and looted 1 lakh 40 thousand rupees in cash along with 12 tolas of gold and about 2 kg of silver kept in the house.

Seeing the serious condition of former ward councilor member Afaq Alam, the doctors referred him to a higher center. The bullet hit Afaq’s hand. While fleeing, the criminals left a hammer, 11 pairs of shoes, bamboo sticks, cigarette boxes, a water bottle, a bullet and a mobile cover on the river bank near the village. On receiving the information, Baisi police station in-charge Sanjeev Kumar, Dagrua police station in-charge Ravindra Kumar reached the spot and collected many important evidences. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
