However, the accused who escaped from the custody of RPF personnel was identified as Ajit Kumar, a resident of Buniyadganj police station area.

According to the information received, late on Wednesday evening half a dozen criminals were preparing to cut the signal near the railway line near Shaheed Ishwar Choudhary Halt to commit a crime in trains. RPF officers got information about the activities of the criminals. As soon as the information was received, RPF officers and soldiers in number of four reached the spot. However, RPF jawans conducted a raid and caught one of the accused and started taking him to the post at Manpur Railway Station.

Hearing about the kidnapping, people blocked the RPF officers and soldiers and attacked them. Ajay Kumar, the warehouse security guard, got injured in the said incident. During that time, seeing the anger of the people, the RPF officers and soldiers hid in a room. After receiving information about such an incident, the local police arrived with a team and evacuated the RPF soldiers safely.

It is known that criminals steal grains and other goods on a large scale by turning the signal of goods train passing through Gaya-Dhanbad railway section red on the outer signal of Shaheed Ishwar Chaudhary Halt. The RPF post was already aware of this. For this reason, RPF soldiers were keeping an eye out to catch the criminals. In this regard, a case has been registered against three named and a dozen unidentified by RPF officials in Muffasil police station. Meanwhile, raids are being conducted to arrest the criminals.
