Wednesday was a dark day for the government babus of Darbhanga, Bihar. The surveillance team has arrested three bribe taking babus red handed from Darbhanga district. The first case is of Kusheshwarsthan police station area. Where the surveillance team arrested branch manager Guddu Kumar Rajak red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 as soon as the Central Bank branch opened. In the second action, the team arrested Electricity Department Executive Engineer Ajit Kumar with Rs 40 thousand and Technician Rinku Kumari. This raid team was led by DSP Dharmendra Kumar. There were total 13 members in the team.

According to the information, the team of Surveillance Investigation Bureau raided the Rural Electricity Office located in DMCH premises on Wednesday. During this, the team arrested Executive Engineer Ajit Kumar and Technician Rinku Kumari for taking bribe of Rs 40 thousand. A 13-member team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar had arrived for the raid.

DSP Pawan Kumar, who is leading the team, said that Anil Kumar, a resident of Khanpur in Samastipur district, had applied for electricity connection to run his flour mill in Belahi. Technician Rinku Kumari was demanding bribe from him in the name of the executive engineer of the department. The raid was conducted on this complaint. In this, the executive engineer was taking bribe amount from the hands of Rinku Kumari. Meanwhile, both were arrested.

Surveillance DSP Dharmendra Kumar said that on March 1, the victim Anil Kumar had complained to the surveillance, after verifying which action was taken today. In that, Electricity Department Executive Engineer Ajit Kumar and Technician Rinku Kumari have been arrested. He told that the victim Anil Kumar is a resident of Khanpur in Samastipur district. He had to get an electricity connection for setting up a flour mill in Belahi. A bribe of Rs 40 thousand was demanded by the executive engineer regarding this matter.
