Bihar Teacher Transfer News: After a long wait, Bihar Government has announced a new policy regarding transfer-posting for teachers. On Monday (07 October), Education Minister Sunil Kumar gave this information in a press conference. Under the new policy, now BPSC, old teachers and competency pass teachers will get a chance to stay in their district. Husband and wife can be posted in one school.
Overall, the teachers who have become state employees will get the benefit, but not everyone is going to benefit from it. Employed teachers selected from the local body will not be transferred. Know who is going to benefit under the new transfer rules. Education Minister Sunil Kumar said that applications for transfer posting will be taken soon. Teachers will be deployed in new schools by December 2024.
Priority for people with disabilities and serious illnesses
For transfer, teachers will have to apply online through e-Shikshakosh app. In this, first priority will be given to those suffering from serious diseases like kidney, heart or disabled and widowed female teachers. Under this, if the wife’s health remains unwell, the husband will be able to transfer her to school. Apart from this, if the husband’s health also remains bad then the wife can be transferred to the same school.
If a disabled person wants to be transferred as per his convenience, he will also be given priority. Widowed female teachers can also be transferred near their home, but male teachers will not get posting in their home sub-division. However, transfer of teachers will be mandatory every five years as previously decided.
