In Darbhanga, Bihar, the Telangana Police on Sunday raided the whereabouts of the jewelery thief arrested from Mumbai. Telangana police reached here on Saturday night with the thief. Chandrashekhar Sahu, accused of theft of diamond and jewelery worth five crores, has been said to be a resident of Rajwani village of Biraul police station area.
According to the information, the police raided Chandrashekhar’s spot on Sunday and recovered three diamond-studded ornaments from his neighbor’s house. Police is conducting raids to recover the rest. In fact, on September 1, 2022, the accused Chandrashekhar absconded from a businessman in Hyderabad’s Najara Hind police station area after stealing diamonds and jewellery. An FIR has been registered in this matter at Najara Hind police station. He also came home after the theft. Meanwhile, he had hidden some jewelery at one of his neighbours. He was constantly changing his location to avoid arrest.
Meanwhile, the Telangana police nabbed him from Mumbai. It was not clear whether the accused was working in a jewelery shop or in a businessman’s house. According to the villagers, the arrested accused was working as a laborer in Hyderabad, Telangana for many years.
Birol Police Station President Satya Prakash Jha told that some jewelery has been recovered from one place. The raid is still going on on his trail.
