The arrested criminal Suresh Singh, a resident of Vishunpura village of Nautan police station area of Siwan district, who had fired on the infamous Vishal Singh in the Gopalganj Civil Court, was shot in police custody at 2 o’clock on Friday night. In this firing by the criminals, many Gopalganj police personnel had a narrow escape, while the arrested criminal Suresh Singh was shot in the leg. The incident happened late night near Turkaha bridge of Nagar police station area. Injured criminal Suresh Singh was brought to Sadar Hospital Gopalganj for treatment, from where after first aid, the team of doctors, seeing his condition as serious, referred him to PMCH Patna for better treatment.
Suresh Singh got shot in the leg
It is said that the police team of Gopalganj Nagar police station had gone out from the Civil Court premises to conduct a raid regarding the firing case in the court along with the arrested criminal Suresh Singh. Meanwhile, around 2 o’clock in the night, four criminals riding on two bikes attacked the police team. The police narrowly escaped the attack, but the arrested criminal Suresh Singh was shot in the leg. On receiving information about the incident, SP Awadhesh Dixit also reached Sadar Hospital Gopalganj and interrogated the injured criminal Suresh.
Had fired on the notorious Vishal Singh
SP Awadhesh Dixit said that the injured Suresh Singh used to work for jailed criminals Manu Tiwari and Shambhu Singh. On the behest of both, there was firing on the notorious Vishal Singh who had come to the court from jail to appear before him. In this entire matter, SP Awadhesh Dixit said that the intention of the criminals was to target Suresh Singh or to free him, it could be both. Raids are being conducted to identify and arrest the criminals involved in the crime.
