After the end of Chhath Puja, the great festival of folk faith, the Railway Administration has made special preparations for the convenience of the passengers returning from Bihar. General Manager (GM) of East Central Railway, Kshatrapal Singh, during his inspection at Darbhanga Junction, announced that passengers will not face any inconvenience after Chhath. He said that many special trains will be operated between November 8 and 22, so that the passengers returning from Bihar can get timely and convenient travel.

Tips to avoid haste in travel

GM Kshatrapal Singh has appealed to the passengers not to travel in any hurry and plan the date of their journey. He said that if passengers travel after making reservations, then any inconvenience can be avoided. He also assured that the railway administration is fully prepared for the safety and convenience of the passengers. Additional police force has been deployed at the railway station. Additionally, medical teams will also be available all the time, so that immediate assistance can be provided in case of any emergency.

Review of facilities at Darbhanga Junction

The GM, who arrived at Darbhanga Junction to take stock of the special facilities for passengers, inspected the holding area, crowd management, passenger convenience and security arrangements. In view of the increased crowd on Chhath festival, special care has been taken for cleanliness and safety on the platform. RPF and GRP personnel were in alert mode during the inspection. Apart from this, lime and bleaching powder were regularly sprinkled to keep the station premises clean.

The GM, who arrived from the special salon on Wednesday evening, was welcomed by Darbhanga Junction station master Manoj Kumar. Divisional Railway Manager of Samastipur Division Vinay Srivastava and other senior officials were also present with him. The GM said that providing high level facilities to the passengers is the priority of the Railways and on important occasions like Chhath festival, it has been ensured that there is no inconvenience to the passengers.
