Bihar: Union Minister’s son sent 8.29 lakhs to thugs after talking to fake Dsp to buy a car from custom auction

The thugs are not sparing anyone. A thug had helped the IPS by calling the then Director General of Police (DGP) of Bihar as a judge. Now a thug collected 8.29 lakhs by talking to a fake Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the name of getting a custom auctioned car to the Union Minister’s son. Cheated, cheated, now talked about returning, even threatened to kill. Arjit Choubey, son of Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey and the BJP candidate from Bhagalpur Assembly, lodged the case at the Sajor police station of Bhagalpur in Bihar on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday.

Money was added to the account from Banka to Bengal for 12 days

Arjit Shashwat (Choubey), a member of the National Working Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and former candidate from Bhagalpur, lodged the FIR after around 12 midnight on Friday night. From December 27, 2022 to January 7, 2023, 11 times in a total of 12 days, Arjit Choubey has informed about sending money to the thugs. It started with a transfer on PhonePe to a person named Bajrangi Kumar Singh. He was sent money six times from different accounts to PhonePe’s number 8708918468. Apart from this, money was sent four times to the account of Suresh Pramanik in Bhadrapur (Birbhum, West Bengal) branch of SBI and once to the account of Suraj Kumar Singh in Banka branch of SBI.

Tried to handle the matter by myself for 14 days, got threatened

According to the FIR, the thugs had gathered complete information about Arjit. Being aware of the names of those who knew him, he used to talk. Describing himself as Bhagalpur and giving information about being transferred to West Bengal, a person named Rahul Kumar started the conversation through mobile number 8873036401, being an alleged custom inspector. In order to be believed, he introduced his daughter as a student of a reputed school in Bhagalpur and also made Arjit talk to her. Apart from this, in order to win Arjit’s trust, he also consulted about the doctor for the treatment of his wife. He had told the price of a luxurious car in the auction at 9.8 lakhs and kept taking money in the name of the same transfer process. Choubey has also given the mobile number 9732273043 of thugs’ accomplice Nirmal Kumar Mandal to the police along with other mobile numbers in his Tahrir. According to the FIR, these people who took the money also used abusive words on the demand of return and threatened to kill the family along with them.
