Purnia MP Pappu Yadav is often in the news for one thing or the other. Sometimes by distributing money among the poor and sometimes by threatening the officials. On Thursday, a video of Purnia MP Pappu Yadav is going viral on social media, in which he is seen using abusive language on mobile with a JE of the Electricity Department. In the viral video, MP Pappu Yadav called Jai and said, why don’t you pick up the phone? Why is there no electricity (line) for four days? If I call you now, you have switched on the electricity. The line has just started, it has been four days since…(‘Amar Ujala’ cannot write those words.)
There is a huge problem of food for both humans and animals.
MP Pappu Yadav is visiting the flood affected areas of his parliamentary constituency and taking stock of the situation from the people. He went by boat to many villages like Baghmara Maheshpur, Kursela Basti, Balthi Maheshpur in Kursela block of Katihar district and met people and inquired about their condition. In this regard, MP Pappu Yadav said that the condition of the flood victims is very bad. People are not getting food. The worst situation is that of cattle who are not able to get fodder. Health services are also not available properly.
Appeal to the Chief Minister
Purnia MP Pappu Yadav, targeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, said that he should have visited flood-hit areas like Munger, Lakhisarai, Bhagalpur, Manihari of Katihar, Barari, Kursela and Bayasi of Purnia before coming to Katihar. He has demanded from the Chief Minister that the flood affected areas should be declared as flood affected areas and community kitchens should be started immediately so that people can get food. Pappu Yadav said that there is a need to provide relief to the people. These areas should be declared flood affected areas and community kitchens, health facilities and fodder for cattle should be made available which are not available anywhere. He alleged that the aid money sent for the flood victims is usurped by officials and politicians. These flood victims have the first right on this money but here the officers, ministers and sentries eat the money of the victims.
